Q&A with Selva Baskar (Architectural Designer)

Today, we’re having another Q&A – as requested. Selva is one of our Architectural Designers and he has done many projects for the company.

Get to know more about him and his work!

Q: How is your day as an Architectural Designer at Summit?

A: Usually, I start the day by checking my emails and replying to them as soon as possible, in order to find a solution for clients’ problems or any doubts they might have. After, I like to rearrange my checklist for the day and see everything I have to do. Before the meetings, I make sure I have all my 3D Sketches ready and finished. I always like to get a cup of coffee in between meetings and have a chat with my colleagues. Lastly, I have a meeting with our director, in order to get some reports for future projects.

Q: What is your favourite project until now and why?

A: My favourite projects were The Old Rectory and Chichester Road. These were complex projects that really challenged me, because the client wanted our Premium Rendering service – which is very realistic.

Q: Could you explain the differences between the premium render and the standard one?

A: On the one hand, we have the Standard Render service – where the client can have an idea of each element’s texture and see the basic furniture. On the other hand, the Premium Render service shows exactly how the elements look like. It almost looks like a picture, because it’s so close to reality.

Q: What do you do on the weekends?

A: I’m a workaholic, I love my job so I also like to work on the weekends. However, when I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my family, going for long bike rides, watching movies and hanging out with my friends.

Q: Why would you recommend Summit?

A: I recommend Summit Architecture because we have many years of experience, followed by extremely professionalism. We also provide many different services, which makes us stand out from other firms.
